District Assembly Details
The WAPAC District Assembly this year is April 12-14 at Mountain View Church, 940 Israel Road in Tumwater. Local NMI Presidents are automatically delegates and should plan to attend and vote on all district and NMI business.
District NMI Business: As part of the District Assembly business, we will elect some officers and councilmembers for the District NMI Council. This year, we also elect delegates to the 2027 Global NMI Convention (held June 25-27, 2027, in conjunction with General Assembly). We also will share about some exciting new NMI initiatives.
Action: Be sure to book your hotel room now! The church is in Tumwater, and there are several hotels in the area. Olympia is a few minutes away if Tumwater hotels are full.
Missions Speaker Dhariana Balbuena (Murillo)
At District Assembly each year, we have a featured missionary speaker.
This year, we welcome Dhariana Balbuena (Murillo), who along with her husband serves in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) on the Africa Region. We are excited to hear from Dhariana on Tuesday morning in our general session, as well as on Monday afternoon in our breakout session.
We will plan to collect an offering for Dhariana’s missional work on Tuesday morning.
NMI Breakout Session
Our NMI breakout session from 2:30-4 p.m. on Monday afternoon is helpful for anyone working with NMI in your church. At a minimum, outgoing and incoming local NMI presidents, along with any interested people from your church, are invited to attend. This is an important meeting for learning about current missions work and how your church can participate. Your District NMI Council is planning some great things for this breakout session, and we trust that you will find the session engaging, inspiring, and actionable.
